The Solution

An intuitive and organized web portal bridging the untapped opportunity between users seeking personalized fitness programs and certified professional offerings.

Redesign Process

Go to this Project Phase

User Research

Our primary focus was deriving existing data and identifying drawbacks to overcome for both prospective and existing users. The research encompassed -

  • Studying the current website in-depth

  • Understanding user demography

  • User empathy mapping

  • The Trainer brand identity

"He should definitely change the website and use it to connect with more clients, make it more good-looking. Everyone has a website these days, and it should be good enough to stay and look around."

- AkshayRam’s Client

User Group Demography

We developed the user group demography table to define our users based on the existing client data.

User Interviews

We conducted weekly meetings and interviews to understand the trainers' and clients' pain points, expectations, and requirements to build a user-centric website.

"I have been training with him(AkshayRam) for the last 5 weeks. I love the results and recommend it to my family and friends. An up-to-date website would be really helpful to share and for them to check his credibility on the internet."

Existing Design Flaws

Flawed design with no navigation menu and text appearing as a button with no action or redirection

No navigation bar or a landing page layout to start user journey

The text appears like a clickable button with a border around it, but is not.

Contact form without contact information or social links to verify the credibility

A contact section without social attribution or credibility information

Screenshots of testimonials with red underlines are a design flaw

Screenshots of testimonials from chats underlined in red, appearing as textual mistakes

About information merged with testimonials without a robust section

Brainstorming

Brainstorming Navigation of the website on notebook as a rough idea
Meeting notes to understand client requirements
User flow of different pages of the website

We aim to optimize the website experience for health-goal seekers by defining an intuitive user journey with a holistic brand identity.

We seek to enable users to effectively and sustainably achieve their health and fitness objectives through personalized and resourceful content.

Challenges

Competitor Analysis

  • Similar service offering unmatched

  • Geographical inconsistency due to global clients

Demographic Usability

  • Discreetly aged user group

  • Common usability and visual design inclination differ

Niche Design Conformity

  • A holistic organic theme request for a fitness, workout website

  • Possibility of misleading users

Design Outcomes

Low-Fidelity Wireframes

Low-fidelity Wireframe

The low-fidelity wireframes below define the website's initial layout and key functionalities.

The translation of low-fidelity wireframes using visual design to high-fidelity wireframes.

Visual Design

The goal was to create an identity that feels personal yet functional and niche-driven. The design aims to evoke a sense of balance and motivation. The primary colors are Gunmetal and Copper, with Black and White as the base colors. The Typography font family is Nunito Sans.

Logo Design

The trainer decided to have a letterform logo to establish a recalling ability through the name and the tagline. Below are the iterations of the logo, where we started with a combination logo and iteratively designed a letterform.

Iterative Update

Initial navigation menu design before iteration

The active or selected menu items on the navigation bar were not noticeable due to minimal differences in color appearance. We upgraded the design to make sure active links are easily discernible.
